Thought I'd add a little note to Judith's post… I find it interesting that Google decides to release their new
design and their inclusion of a Froogle tab right when Yahoo! decides to up the ante, buying Kelkoo. I'm not sure
if this was done on purpose but still something worth noting. I guess this means comparison shopping is the next
big debate between search engines now.
UPDATE: Looking through my Google News Alerts, I came accross
this topic
on Slashdot. On a side note, sorry for the slow news day on both Google and Yahoo! blogs but the big thing today
is Google's re-design and two new lab products.
Google Adding Froogle a Coincidence?
Reader Comments
(Page 1)2. I think it could be more than coincidence. After all, there are plenty of other beta technologies that Google could have promoted.
I wonder who comes up with these names? I mean, 'Froogle' I get. But 'Kelkoo'? Fortunately I don't have to see these names daily - neither Froogle nor Kelkoo is available to Australians.
"I do not like 'Kelkoo' and 'Froogle'! I do not like them, my dear Google."

1. Froogle has been around for quite some time, it's just that now it got promoted to the front page, so I agree with you....no coincidence.
