Senator Figueroa on Talk Radio About GMail Legislation

I heard The David Lawrence Show on Sirius satellite radio tonight. In the first hour, David interviewed California Senator Liz Figueroa, the originator of the legislation against GMail, about her concerns for privacy.

Senator Figueroa makes clear the primary distinction in her mind: Google will crawl the message text. Nobody has done that yet to free email, so the legislation will "create a conversation" about the privacy concerns. One point she made was that Google came out with more details after her announcement.

You can listen to the entire show via downloadable MP3 for a micropayment of 50 cents. (Or download it free after someone puts it on bittorrent.)
