1. I've heard several people mention this, but mine still says 1000 MB. Maybe they're just throwing it out there in a limited way to judge reaction?

2. Mine still says 1000 MB as well. However two of my friends have the Terabyte. My only possible explination is that it is people who have invited 2 people, becase both of them have.

3. Mine shows a TB. Got invited directly by a Google employee, invited 1 other person myself FWIW.

6. My storage was increased to 1 TB sometime during May 18. I have not had the opportunity to invite anyone yet, but I have submitted quite a few bug reports and feature requests.
