Site-Flavored Google Search bubbles up from Google Labs

Google Search Site FlavoredLike mad scientists, the folks in Google Labs love to pop out new features to let users toy with. Their latest creation is Site-Flavored Google Search, a cool tool which allows you create "flavored" search results for people on your website.

It works like this: you fill out a profile based upon your website's content (i.e. Recreation/Outdoors) and HTML for a search box is generated. You copy this HTML onto your site and when people search the corresponding Google search box, they will be able to select a filter which will provide "flavored" results related to the profile you initally chose.

The Google speak on this is:

Google has developed algorithms to determine which results are most likely to be relevant to a user, based on a profile that user fills out about his or her interests. Using a profile created by a site's webmaster on behalf of the site's visitors, Google attempts to customize searches entered into a site-flavored search box; pushing the most relevant results to the top of the page.
