Google playing catch up on multimedia searching

It looks like Google may finally take the full plunge into allowing users to search for audio and video clips, according to the New York Post:

The company has yet to announce plans for the new service, but Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page made no secret of it during talks with investors and media executives at an annual retreat hosted by investment bank Allen & Co. in Sun Valley, Idaho.

There was no official confirmation from Google on the report. It would make sense for them to get into this however, as several of their competitors already have this functionality.
