Google is in danger of losing its trademark on the name Gmail,
according to an article Friday from
News.com. The search engine was apparently not fast enough actually registering the phrase Gmail after they
announced the name of their new email service April 1. Three other companies reportedly filed for the trademark between
March 30 and April 7. They are Cencourse,
Precision Research and the
Gospel Music Association.
For its part, Google said they felt confident the trademark would be awarded to them.
