It's not the first Gmail outage I've experienced, but it's the most serious. Monday morning is, of course, the worst time for a mail service to bomb out. This household's two Gmail accounts have both been inaccessible all morning.

(Page 2)22. It is the only problem that I am facing that after i give my user name and password, many times there is a message of "Loading.. .", I don't know what's so heavy to load on a web page....this message somtimes stays for hours. And the worst, I have missed many important messages.

26. I had the same problem. I looked at this site and the following guy's suggestion worked. I thought it was getting from cache, it did but then it was able to go create new emails and stuff.
Muthu
I figured out how to get in.
in the address it says http://mail.google.com/gmail
and LOADING...
go to the address and delete the gmail portion and the dropdown box will show all the login id's. go down to the latest and highlight and enter. it goes to gmail.

27. I have used gmail for quite sometime. Other than a few glitches here and there it was fine until two days ago. I started accesing it from China on my trip. It worked fine for a week and now it opens the inbox list but a message appears "The document has no data" and the "Loading" sign appears and stays. Whatever I click, sent mail, contacts, etc. the same message shows up. Cannot open anything.
Asked someone in the US to try my account there, everything works fine.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

31. Google's down now. It sends you to https no matter how you get there. The login page appears, but when you login the 404 from their server comes up. One time I got an interactive message that said try again soon.

33. 'have been a beta tester for almost 1.5 years with the gmail service. Occasionaly, the service does go down for 5-10 minutes. Not a big deal considerign they are learning and trying to make it stable.
However, yesterday I started getting the "server error - cross your finger message" and it is still there after more than 24 hours!!
Right now, I am shit scared - I have almost centralized all my business contacts to my gmail account and if GOD forbid Google looses my messages I am toast!!
Now, this makes me wonder if I should rather bank with yahoo email paid service. They have a dedicated custoemr support to answer the calls and allows the download of messages to your local machine.
Just thinking~!!

34. I have not been able to access my gmail account since about 10:30 AM yesterday, May 3, 2005 - over 21 hours now. I've been getting the "server error; try again in a few minutes" message. I am expecting important messages and have to attend and reply to those. I am anxious.

36. Has anyone been able to get any additional information on contacting gmail? This has been too long for a server error message! I have so much work to do today and am very scared that this will continue all day! Ahhhh. In Germany and it has been down since last night!
Is there a backdoor or something?

39. My Gmail account can not be accessed via POP and this has been going on since May 6th. It comes on and off all of the time. Not sure if I am losing emails or not. VEry painful if you ask me. Again....it's a "beta", but how hard is it to keep your email server online??? no very.

40. Down yet again? I've not been able to log on this morning ... cringes at the thought of being without my email for 24hours...
is there a page (site) that lists when the down times occur and when they expect them back up?
