Things You Can't Advertise on Google

Google's newly published AdWords content policy spells out, for the first time, the disallowed products and site topics which may not be marketed in Google. Here are a few:

  • Beer

  • Herbal drugs

  • Fake diplomas

  • Bingo

  • Miracle cures

  • Child pornography (it isn't clear whether other adult content is permitted)

  • Cigarettes

  • Brass knuckles

2. Who decides what constitutes a 'miracle cure'? That seems like a wierd one so me.

3. And that's not all. In Holland a guy in a wheelchair has a website where he makes jokes about people in wheelchairs (about himself): http://www.lolstoel.nl/.
Google refused his advertisement.
