Google's new video search is out, so I
searched for Sundance and found all
the inane coverage from Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, and other programs that make the public think that
Paris Hilton was actually on the Jury this year.
Seriously, the video search doesn't actually play the videos.. it just synchs the transcripts with still images,
creating a pretty good research tool for finding out who's been on
Letterman and
Leno before, during, and in the coming months after the festival.

Searching for Sundance video coverage on Google Video Search

(Page 1)2. Are you sure it is Sundance that is making their films inaccessible or is it Google's terrible search enigine. Have you tried other video search engines. I suggest you try BlinkTV and see if you can't find what you are looking for there.

3. Have you seen any video coverage of sundance online besides the very lame primary website which seems to bury videos in a sea of never ending flash activity? There's no way to throw a url on them and the playback experience is primitive at best. Just no way to reference a video in an online converesation. I'm thinking they've severely hurt their buzz by making their videos so inaccessible. It's funny because they a) claim to want to bring sundance to the masses and b) the biggest problem facing these films is their obscurity.
