While I appreciate Google's generous Gmail capacity, and its corresponding urging of all users to never throw out any e-mail, the lack of an easy Trash function is aggravating. You must pull down a menu to throw out a piece of mail. Anthony Lieuallen has addressed the lack by writing a Greasemonkey script for Firefox that places a Delete button right next to the Archive button in Gmail. (via SiliconBeat)
UPDATE: Read the comments of this post. Some versions of this script cause problems with Gmail. The latest version reportedly fixes things, but proceed with caution if you rely on Gmail on a minute-by-minute basis.

1. I'm somewhat convinced that this extension may lead to getting locked out of Gmail. Soon after I first installed this extension several weeks ago, I would sometimes return to my computer after having left Gmail open in a FireFox tab (which I always do) to find that tab continuously reloading itself. Then when I stop and reload manually, I got a "Lockdown in Sector 4" gmail error message, stating my account has shown "unusual activity" and was shut down temporarily, anyware from a couple minutes to several hours. This happened 6 or 7 times in just about 5 days. As soon as I dis-abled the Delete button script, I haven't seen the problem again. If anyone else can confirm this, then maybe the scripts author can look into the problem.
