Google has released Google Earth. As noted in
my review, Earth is a significant cosmetic upgrade
to Keyhole, and also incorporates more complete global stellite imagery. The best news is that Earth is free, as hoped,
whereas Keyhole required an annual subscription. Earth Plus costs 20 dollars, and provides GPS support and better
annotation tools for marking up the screen. Earth Pro is for institutional use—flyover maps for weather forecasts, and
such.
Google Earth is highly recommended to broadband users. It adds a fabulous dimension to local search, and is
tremendously fun on its own. Earth is arguably Google's best product.

(Page 1)2. It seems like broadband would be required to use this, so one more reason to upgrade from dial-up... it is a great improvement on Keyhole.

3. I just installed it. It's pretty cool, although I suspect everyone will want the same thing.....better resolution and coverage area.
I know there are companies out there with 3 inch resolution of the entire country. If they don't want to sell their database, then Google should just launch their own satellite.

5. Well I cant complain, I can see all the way down to my car sitting in the driveway. The 3d buildings are a nice touch now if only they would texture map them all ;P
