Yahoo! is set to expand its Publisher Network from a handful of large sites to a small pool of 2,000 test sites drawn from blogs and other micro-publishers. Yahoo! is following in Google's footsteps; Google created AdSense (which is open to qualifying sites of all sizes) over two years ago. Although Google doesn't break out revenue numbers for AdSense apart from the overarching AdWords program, consensus is that AdSense has been a hit for Google and participating sites. Yahoo!'s test will probably start today.

7. Does anyone know if Yahoo Sponsored Search and Overure Sponsored Search is the same thing? I really did not like Overture, hope that Yahoo has some alternatives.

1. Finally some decent competition for Google Adsense - that should be good news for publishers. Yahoo seems much more in tune with listening to what the publishers are looking for.
