This rumor is out of left field, and I wouldn't bother with it if the source were different, but TheStreet.com is reporting on "market chatter" that
will host a Web-based version of Apple's
iTunes
Music Store. No specifics, no timetable, just chatter. It would certainly be a blockbuster collision of brands, and would launch
into parity with Yahoo! in the online music business.








1. Jobs has had a pretty long history of not playing well with others. While I don't doubt that Google would be behind such a move (look at the Apple squelched OSX tribute page as an example), I very much doubt that Apple would want to see their brand "diluted" by Google.
