In a mysterious acquisition, Google bought a mysterious company, Android Inc., about which little is known besides it admitted development of mobile phone software. Google claims to love the engineering talent at Android, and certainly everyone acknowledges mobile search as one of the great next frontiers of search. the Android home page is entertaining, if deeply uninformative.
