I haven't heard much demand for thumbnails accompanying search results. I like them myself, but at the same time I must admit that I don't exactly crave them when they're missing. Thumbshots is a free browser plug-in that inserts thumbnail images of target sites right on the Google search results page. I have it installed in Internet Explorer, which I rarely use. Thumbshots is now available for Firefox.
