Google's Code Jam 2005 has concluded, with Polish programmer Marek Cygan being declared the $10,000 winner. A cursory Google search of Marek Cygan reveals that he's no stranger to competitive coding. Over 14,000 competitors entered the Jam, nearly twice as many as in 2004. I was going to enter Code Jam this year, but lost my fishing rod. Wait a minute—that's Cod Jam. My best software skill is wearing a cotton polo shirt. [via press release]
