That's the headline quote from an interview
with an Israeli newspaper: "We do not fear Google." I can't help wondering what Gates was asked to generate that
response.
"Do you fear Google?"
"We do not fear Google."
"Is Google your daddy?"
"We do not fear Google."
"Of all the terrible forces in an uncertain world, what do you fear most?
"We do not fear Google."
"Your pick: Google or nails up your nose."
"We do not fear Google."
Anyway, Gates also trotted out his talking point that Internet search is poor overall, and that both companies,
Microsoft and the not-feared Google, would be working toward improving it.
Gates: No Fear of Google

5. Though MSN is nowhere compared to Google, Bill Gates is strirring the pot. MSN now have "MSNBOT" crawling around the web building a substantial database for themselves. Now with MSN releasing some impressive features lately, targeting broadband users, it is anyone's guess what is to come next. I believe that Bill Gates has not bothered before because he's been too busy monopolising world IT and Internet browsing.
6. Google isn't really a problem for MSN, the lead Google has over MSN is due to name recognition in relation to Internet search engines. People don't think of MSN Search when they're in need of finding things. The first name in their minds pertaining to search is Google.
The same applies to Yahoo Search, and also the many other 300 or more search engine. Google is better at getting the word out about their search engine and products than the rest of them. You can't sit on your thumb while your competition is blazing new paths and yelling it to the world. It doesn’t work for you to make envious rants in different articles. Too much of that, and you'll finally end up on the sideline bragging about what you could have done, if it wasn't for the competition. If a large pit bull dog is already eating you alive, you can’t make nice to him in an attempt to impease him. It’s time to fight back. No one can really blame Google for anything. Google just did what it takes to be the leader in its industry. Nowadays if you ask many people about something, they’ll tell you to Google it. Now, --that’s really the goal to strive for.
