4. Googlepapers and Googlemicrofilm are quite important when you think about it.
Lets say you want to read some original newspaper articles aboutthe American civil war - as in actual reporter accounts?
Sure, you could Google around and find a site that might have them - and it might only be a fraction of what was published.
We're talking about serious volumes of information here - just imagine - every newspaper ever published going back 200 years, accessible instantly, online...
the consequences in terms of historical research will be mind boggling.
