Google doesn't always respond quickly to suggestions, but when word got out that Google Base was infested with porn last week, the company stepped on it. Turns out that SafeSearch filtering was broken in the Google Base site. Let's be clear about this: pornographic material is allowed in Google Base, but the Moderate setting of SafeSearch seems to clean most of it out of Base results. That's probably a good thing—"Base" was starting to take on another meaning.
1. If taken as a part of the worlds knowledge, Porn is part of it so it's to be expected. Now that the filter is fixed people can continue to delude themselves into thinking its not part of our world's natural meme.
