2. You miss a very important point.

This feature will make Gmail users look at the Google ads that take the place of every few web clips.

Google isn't (just?) doing this for the geek wow factor. They're doing it for the money.

4. Turning it off is pretty easy, just go to Settings, Web Clips, then uncheck it.

I personally don't like this feature too much. Sure it's great when I see a new funny quote everytime, but seeing the Sponsored Links just kills it.

6. Crappy interface if you only want one or two feeds: they give you 20 or so default items, and then make you click on each one to disable it. (Although it's AJAX, so it does it quickly.)
