Citing great homegrown talent and favorable taxes, Google has reportedly commited to growing its major European headquarters, in Dublin, by 75 percent over the next three years. That translates too hiring 600 people. One can't help wondering how far Google will take this shift in balance. Apparently the company shaved its tax rate by eight percent from 2004 to 2005 thanks to crediting some profit to Irelenad, where the corporate tax rate is about a third of that in the U.S. Google is snapping up 100,000 more square feet to set the stage.
