Google has expanded the personalization of its
home page beyond the browser and onto the cell phone; it's called Google Mobile Home. This page explains how to do it; you must customize the
portable page separately from the browser page. This is a good thing, as it allows the user to select different content
for the road, and for the time of day in which a cell phone might typically be used for the Internet. For example, stock
prices could be important on the phone during the day, but unimportant on the browser page which is accessed at night.Google Makes Personalized Home Page Portable

10. Unfortunately, I can't choose to access this via a mobile.google.com URL. They're directing you to google.com and then detecting that you're on a mobile device. My T-Mobile Sidekick, obnoxiously, but with reason, refuses to identify itself as mobile, and I'm stuck w/ the web browser homepage and a bunch of errors.
11. My problem is I don't think Verizon Wireless support xhtml.

15. Someone made a similar "dashboard" for nokia series 60 phones in python (http://www.eriksmartt.com/blog/archives/183). I wonder what the privacy implications of using Google's personalized mobile homepage would be... Do any mobile phone operators send your phone number as part of your hostname to servers? We have a big problem of SMS spam in France and Ireland.
