For a company that is worth $ Billions, and has as much importance in the world today, you would think they would dump some cash to redevelop the design and functions of their search page. Im not talking about a cluttered space here, I'm talking about a nicely laid out slick piece, that effectively communicates Google's importance and relevance in the search field.
Renowned Flash Developer Joshua Davis has mocked a site up that maps real physical information to the virtual space of the Internet. It might be a tad too cluttered for Google's liking but displays some key points and throws it all out on the table for a much needed Google redesign brainstorming session.
Andy Rutledge has done
an awesome job at adding some
professionalism to the main Google Search page. Everything has been nicely laid out, for a pretty slick form vs.
function approach that Google should really be drooling at. It's just really pleasing to look at, and puts Google on
the pedestal. Especially after the recent relaunch of the Feedster site. We can only anticipate a redesign in the near future. Google has been displaying this sad-looking search page since its inception. This should really be Google's year to shock us. After everything that was released and all the news to come out of Google HQ last year - they are certainly going to have to blow our socks off this year.

1. I love what Andy Rutledge did with the site. It still looks like google, it still feels like google. Buts it just feels better. The UI is improved and so is the UE (user experience).
