Some Google Analyst Slips

Google dropped some important information that it maybe shouldn’t have during last weeks analysts meeting. Google said that it had inadvertently disclosed some of its closely guarded financial projections. Google also slipped out the new personal digital storage service it has in the works.

Google posts its company information online, and even its presentations. Well, it posted the Analyst presentation, which contained all of this important information that happened to divulge more that what Google wanted to.

Google is a company that has refused from day one to give out future financial information. And give out numbers they did at the Analyst day conference. They fought back afterwards by saying that they were speakers notes that were indeed prepared as much as six months ago for an internal presentation.

This entire ruckus has caused some issues with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Google issued a statement that said that the unintended notes revealed a projection that advertising revenue will grow to $9.5 billion in 2006, up to 58% from the previous year.

The GDrive service that was leaked is said to be an online storage system, and virtual hard drive, accessible from anywhere there is a connection. Users could potentially store all of their data on it. Including email, pictures, and bookmarks.
