No Google Print Library Project for Australia
Google will not be getting a hold of Australian library materials anytime soon according to what a Google spokesperson
told ZDNet Australia.
Local Australian publishers have submitted materials for Google to scan into their Google Print Library Project, even though the libraries do like the idea, they have resisted due to the controversy it has recently caused. An assistant director at the National Library of Australia has said that he would love to work with Google, but he did admit that it is a problem due to legal uncertainties.
Google is continuing to work with Australian libraries while the legal issues get worked out.
