Another year, another dollar. Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt have stated that they will again this year,
stick to $1/year salary, despite an offering for more from the companies compensation committee.
Page and
Brin currently own stocks that are worth over $12 billion, and Schmidt owns close to $5 billion in stock. A company
spokesperson claimed that the Googlers turned down the offer for more money due to the fact that their primary
compensation comes from returns on their ownership stakes in Google.
Before Google's IPO in 2004, both Larry
and Sergey were making a salary of $150,000, while Eric was earning $250,000.

1. Good for them. I am glad to see some CEO's standing up and getting stock instead of large salaries.
