This morning, Google released SketchUp. Last month, Google bought @Last Software, and now they have released a free version of the 3D modeling software.
Google's goal with SketchUp was to create a version of the 3D tool available to everyone, for free! There is still a high end version available for architects and builders, but now even amateurs can start ripping out 3D models for Google Earth.
There is a 3d Warehouse where users can share the items they have created with the tool - whether it be a deck, garden, kitchen renovation, or giant mansion.
1. Seriously, we don't have better things to do than build models for Google? Who are these people?
