Google Wins German Library Scuffle

Google is smelling success by winning an attempt by a German court that stated that Google was attempting to weaken copyright laws.

Google urged publishers to believe that its digitizing project would not crumble the copyright laws that are in place in the country.

A German scientific book publisher started the process by asking a Hamburg court to grant an injuntion to stop scanning its books for the Google Digital Library project.
